“Because We Care” Sponsors
Sponsorship opportunities of any amount are available for funding or in-kind donations that will enhance the programs listed below.
The ALS Association of Oregon & SW Washington is committed to providing a full range of support services for ALS patients and their families. Funded entirely through donations and events such as the Walk to D’Feet ALSÒ, the Chapter’s services are offered free of charge and include:
- Augmentative & Alternative Communication Program
- Certified ALS Clinic
- Individual Support/Home Visits
- Medical Equipment Loan Closet
- Respite Care Program
- Information, Advocacy and Public Awareness
- PALS & Family Education Programs
- Support Groups
- Counseling Services
The financial cost to families of persons with ALS is exceedingly high. It is estimated that in the advanced stages of ALS care can cost an average of $200,000 a year.
Special sponsorship in-kind recognition is also available for major donors of goods and services, depending on the cash value of the donation.
